Shane is a PICKY eater so this mama does all she can to promote healthy eating habits even with a picky pallet.
This week I am sharing our favorite green smoothie recipe. This drink has healthy greens mixed in with whole milk yogurt, and tropical fruit. My family prefers more of a icy type smoothie as opposed to creamy and this one is perfect. Shane drinks it up and I feel better knowing he is getting the nutrients he needs.
Green Smoothie
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup whole milk yogurt
1/2 cup loosely packed spinach leaves
1 ripe mango, peeled and cubed
1/2 cup frozen peaches
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
Directions
In a blender add the liquids first, then fresh ingredients, then frozen on top. Follow your blenders directions for blending a smoothie. Makes 2-3 servings.
